Yoke is a satirical concept created for Deceit, an art project about the patterns of manipulation in institutional technology. There is no real lifestyle product behind this page. Nothing entered on this site — signup, checkout, or the chat widget — is stored or sent anywhere outside this browser tab.

Jake built this because he remembers Jesus saying "my yoke is easy and my burden is light." jake remembers it as "your yoke should be easy." jake built a product that optimizes your burdens to make them "easier." the optimization is: assign your burdens to other people. jake doesn't know that's what the app does. jake thinks it's "sharing the load." the sharing is offloading. the offloading is the yoke. jake misremembered the verse. jake built a burden-distributor instead of a rest-giver. jake is sincere. jake is wrong. jake is always sincere and always wrong.
